Saving. Just a little each week. I dont smoke, nor often drink. It mounts up quick enouth. I also look for good value. Airbnbs ect...👍

I’ve been to Rhodes every year for the last 6 years it’s the most beautiful place and the people are amazing, you have to understand that the people who sell this “crap” as you say it’s their lively hood, the have to earn money during the tourist season to be able to save enough money to get them through the winter months, also every bar/restaurant will try to get you to go in again to make money to feed their families over winter, it’s not you “seeing through it” its their job and you don’t have to go in politely say no thank you, maybe next time take the time to actually speak to the Greeks who live and work there you’ll find that they are the most lovely people and they love Brits
Im sure they are. And my video does come across as nieve as it was what was on my mind at the time. Yes. Rhodes is a lovely place with lovely people, I enjoyed their country very much. "Crap for sale" lol was not meant to be a dig at Rhodes or the people who live their. Its the same all over the world including where I live. People have livelyhoods and 'tourism/ souveneers ect...' is part of that. I compleatly get that, and my comments are not intended to be personal. I just don't heavily believe in souvenners, dont myself see the value in the goods. (although understand alot of people do) and not into impulse buying 👍 Im sure alot of love/care goes into the products. Again very nice, but it doesnt interest me. I once bought some Cigars from Cuba for £30.00. It interested me. But I don't smoke and its been sitting in a draw for the past 7 years. Nice idea at the time yes, suported a local business yes, but it wasnt something I really needed. Perhaps the "seeing though it" statement was unfair" When I'm filming, its random what comes out if my mouth, i was having a stressful day. I think the better translation would have been. "Im on a tight budget, and not interested in those particular products or services" not everyone thinks before they speak. I could argue Poundland sells alot if crap. But its still one of my favourite stores. I enjoy shopping in there. And make many purchases there. Some of the products are 'cheap' but I see value in that (again thats my opinion and someone elses may differ from that)👍

Excellent. This is gold input for this Hilton's UX/CX designers. Those were some very concrete and justified pain-points you mentioned. If this hotel is smart they'll pay attention. Or maybe they don't even know what CX design is and that's why things are crappy.

Lol. I said "I have been to these places before (holiday destinations in europe), that back in 2013 I went to "Ibiza" and when in ibiza, went to the quiet side of the island. I wasnt refering to the holiday I was about to take. It may have sounded like that though, as I was talking about several different holidays in that scene 👍🤣

This was so fun to watch! We lived in Browns Gap, which is where Pirates Inn is, for a year while we searched for an apartment just outside of Oistins (Atlantic Shores)... always walked past Pirates and wondered what it looked like inside. So nice to see that you enjoyed that sweet little island... I feel more at home in Bim than any where else!

hello mate, loved the video me and my fiance are planning to go in June, i was wondering what the drinks are like here? as we both dont drink wine and more of a cocktail lovers :D are there cocktails included in all inclusive by any chance? and with the slides are there set times you are allowed on these?
Not sure what the times are on the slides. But most of the day i think. Yep many cocktails on their menu and there all free with the all inclusive 👍

Have been in a lot of hotels in Barbados but did not like this one. Asked for something to eat which was very limited in selection, and it was like you were asking for the crown jewels! The place needs updating, Maybe it has changed hands now with new owners.

A long long way to go, for the worst holiday we ever had. Pitch dark at 6pm, down poured with rain every day between 2pm and 3pm. Some good food up in The Gap, steakhouse and what have you. The only holiday we ever went on, where the rep told us where NOT to go, don't go on the beaches before 8am as drug addicts were sleeping on it, don't go in to Bridgetown alone day or night, go out in groups in the evenings wherever you go and wherever possible, don't carry much money on you at any time, don't use the local buses use hotel prebooked taxis. Just too many don'ts for us. And we didn't find the people very friendly in most places we went. One morning though we went to Bridgetown at around 10.30am by taxi, and shopped, and ate in the self service restaurant of a nice department store....the food was lovely, the people were nice, we went to the beach and joined a BBQ with steel band and free drinks, the beach was fantastic and it was the best day of the holiday. The year we went was 1990 year of the Gazza crying world Cup. If most of the days had been like the Bridgetown day, we would have been back many times by now. But to be honest sadly, it put us off flying long haul ever again. Wish it had been better. 😞😞😞😞

Wow... you’d hate my country! We’re from Trinidad and Tobago and lives in Barbados for many years and loved it! Bajans are not known for their warmth but I find it hard to believe most of what you’ve written here... especially in 1990! Before moving to Bim we spent almost every holiday there and like EVERY other country, obviously there are places you should and shouldn’t go! How sad that you’re that narrow minded!
